New Zealander calling for volunteers in Ukraine
The New Zealand charity Kiwi Kare is working in Ukraine to help locals - and they're after volunteers to help them. Tenby Powell, the former Mayor of Tauranga is in the war zone - he's the founder of the charity which is trying to help bring vital supplies to the people of Ukraine. His appeal comes less than a week after New Zealand army corporal Dominic Abelen was killed in combat in Russian held territory while he was there on unpaid leave. Nathan Rarere asked Mr Powell, a former soldier himself, where volunteers will be based.
