Sir Ian Taylor trials business people isolating without MiQ

On Monday Sir Ian Taylor becomes one of the first New Zealanders since the start of the pandemic to be able to travel overseas and return without going through MIQ. He's one of 150 business people taking part in a new trial which allows them to isolate at home for 14 days upon their return. The pilot scheme is aimed at business travellers who need to go on short business trips to countries not deemed very high-risk. Sir Ian told our producer Matthew Theunissen he hopes it will prove that we now have the knowledge and resources available to ensure such trips can be done safely.
