Menna Evans aims to break marathon records

From First Up, 5:45 am on 5 February 2020

Menna Evans is a woman on a mission. The 40 year old Welsh woman is attempting to be fastest woman to run the length of New Zealand - and she's very close to doing it. While many people were still recovering from New Years eve, Menna set off on her massive run, covering nearly 2000 kilometres. She's run the equivalent of around a marathon a day - and is due to finish in Bluff this morning, setting a new record. Menna had been running for eight hours through torrential rain in Southland yesterday when she finished another 50 kilometres and spoke to reporter Nita Blake-Persen.
