Hong Kong protests turn violent with a student shot in chest

To Hong Kong now, where violent street battles are rocking the city in one of the most bloody days of demonstrations yet. Police fired live ammunition for the first time directly at a protester, shooting a high school student who is now in hospital undergoing surgery. Thousands of protestors took to the streets determined to send a message to Beijing, where Chinese leaders were celebrating seventy years of Communist Party rule. They smashed and burned their way across multiple suburbs, lighting fires in the streets and vandalising shopping outlets that were seen as being aligned with Beijing. Nearly a hundred people have been arrested and now face rioting charges. Our reporter Craig Hoyle has been on the streets, and joins us now...
