Unhealthy food more likely to be discounted at supermarkets

Auckland University research has found that unhealthy food options are more likely to be on special at all the big supermarket chains than healthy options.

Dr Helen Eyles led the research team looking at the bargains on offer and how they are more likely to be purchased over non-discounted healthier food and beverages. She explains the implications and why bargain hunting is bad for our health.
