About
Meng is a one-hour, bilingual documentary that follows former Gisborne mayor and current Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon as he navigates a very public role at a national level after 18 years in local politics.
Fluent in te reo Māori, Meng is often seen as a symbolic bridge between Māori and Chinese—or tauiwi—communities.
The documentary charts a year of ups, downs, and personal transformations for Meng.
