Two players are set to make their Super rugby debuts for the Hurricanes this week with second-five Jayden Hayward and fellow midfielder Charlie Ngati named in the squad for Saturday night's game against the Chiefs in Wellington.
Hayward has been named in the starting lineup, in place of the suspended Ma'a Nonu while Ngati is on the bench.
Chris Eaton replaces Tyson Keats at halfback, after Keats was outplayed by All Blacks halfback Jimmy Cowan in the Hurricanes opening loss of the season to the Highlanders.
All Blacks prop Neemia Tialata also starts after coming off the bench in the first game of the season.
Several key players are still out with injury including, Piri Weepu, Karl Lowe, Hosea Gear, and Rodney So'oialo.
