Black Caps won't look too far ahead

The New Zealand Cricket captain says his team won't be looking too far ahead as the early stages of the Cricket World Cup get underway in India.

The Black Caps play their first world cup warm-up match against lowly Ireland in Nagpur today and skipper Daniel Vettori says while their aim is to win the Cup, they can't get ahead of themselves in a tournament that will run for around six weeks.

Daniel Vettori is confident that the Black Caps should prosper on the sub-continent under the guidance of former Indian coach John Wright.

The Black Caps warm-up match against Ireland gets underway at 10pm.
