The Wellington Phoenix footballers have failed to snap their losing streak in Australia, losing 3-1 at Gold Coast United on Friday night.
It didn't look like the hosts would register their first ever A-League win over the Phoenix after the two sides were level at 1-1 after nine minutes, and still locked up at 70.
The opening goal to Gold Coast's Bruce Djite was quickly followed by a penalty to Wellington's Paul Ifill.
But Djite's double at Skilled Park with an audacious flick sank the Phoenix before United substitute James Brown sealed the victory with a well placed header in the 82nd minute.
