The Counties Manukau loose forward Fritz Lee will appear at a judicial hearing on Wednesday for an alleged dangerous tackle during his team's ITM Cup match against Northland at Pukekohe on Sunday.
The 21-year-old was red carded by referee Chris Pollock after an alleged high tackle on Northland's replacement halfback Luke Hamilton, six minutes from full time.
Counties Manukau won the match 40 - 24.
NZRU Judicial Officer Peter Hobbs will hear the charge against Lee at the NZRU offices in Wellington.
