A man has been taken into police custody after entering west Auckland's Lynnmall with what was believed to be a firearm.
Police said officers were "immediately" deployed to the mall about 10.40am on Tuesday and found the man, arresting him without incident.
A toy gun was found in the man's possession.
"Police are satisfied that this incident has been resolved and there is no ongoing danger to the public.
"We are considering charges for the arrested man."
