The New Zealand women's hockey team has ended group play at the World Cup in Argentina on a high beating India 3-nil.

The first half was scoreless, but the Black Sticks took control in the second half with captain Kayla Sharland scoring twice and Katie Glynn once.

It is their first win following a draw with Japan and 3 losses and means they're likely to finish 4th in their group and play-off with China for 7th place.
