Wild Oats Eleven has taken line honours in the 2008 Sydney to Hobart yacht race, winning the 64th annual ocean classic for a record fourth consecutive time.
Wild Oats XI skipper Mark Richards steered the Bob Oatley owned boat across the finishing line in Hobart at 11.34am New Zealand time, followed by dozens of spectator craft.
The winning crew left Sydney with the rest of the 100-strong fleet on Friday afternoon and completed the journey in the unofficial time of 1 day 20 hours and 34 minutes... a couple of hours outside its own race record.
Skandia is running second.
