The former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns has again denied any involvement in match-fixing.
Cairns has released a statement saying he's been asked if he is "Player X", who has been mentioned in leaked testimony from Lou Vincent and Brendon McCullum.
Vincent and McCullum both reportedly said that a player offered them money to fix matches.
The Daily Mail in Britain says anti-corruption investigators are closing in on a big name player.
In a statement, Cairns says based on the limited information he's received during this investigation, he believes it is being alleged that he is that player. But the 43-year-old says the allegations against him are a complete lie.
Cairns won a libel trial against Lalit Modi, the former commissioner of the Indian Premier League, at the High Court in London in 2012 over claims of corruption in the Indian Cricket League.
