Britain's top-ranked Phil Taylor has lost his world darts title after a stunning defeat in the second round by outsider and fellow Englishman Michael Smith at a raucous Alexandra Palace.
Smith, who's just 23 and the world youth champion, punched the air in triumph as he beat the 16-times world darts champion 4-3.
The world number 32 was helped by 53-year-old Taylor appearing well below his best in a display littered with errors.
