The hosts went 2-0 up after wins to Dan King-Turner and GD Jones yesterday. Jones was standing in for New Zealand number two Reuben Statham, who had a cold.
A win today and New Zealand will be into the final against either the Philippines or Pakistan in the Group II final in September.
