Police have uncovered what they say is one of the two largest methamphetamine labs found in this country.
The discovery was made when a rural property just north of Taupo was raided on Wednesday.
Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of more than $800,000 was found.
Some 21kg of a pseudoephedrine-based precursor product with an estimated value of $900,000 was also found, along with several firearms and $157,000 in cash.
Two people were arrested on the property and two others in raids on properties in Cambridge and Waitomo.
