An ambulance has been knocked over onto its side in a crash while on its way to a pick up a patient.
The collision happened near the intersection at Wiri Station Road in Manukau just before nine this morning.
A St John spokesperson said staff in the ambulance were not injured.
He said another ambulance was sent to pick up the patient - a man with moderate injuries - and take him to hospital.
Police and the Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
