Canterbury police are continuing the search for a 74-year-old man who hasn't been seen for a week.
Raymond Finnie's silver Suzuki Swift was found stuck on a remote dirt road near Hororata in Mid-Canterbury on Wednesday.
A search for him yesterday was unsuccessful.
Today a team of 25 police and search and rescue volunteers are continuing to look for him in farmland and scrub surrounding the car.
Police said Mr Finnie appeared to be in a confused state of mind the last time he was seen, which they said could be related to his recent stroke.
Mr Finnie was wearing grey track pants and a dark woollen fishnet jersey.
