Historian Jock Phillips on the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II

Former chief historian Dr Jock Phillips joins us from London to reflect on the Queen's impact on New Zealand's history and how she was received during her 10 visits to our shores.

He says when she first visited in 1953 New Zealanders thought of themselves as an extension on Great Britain but by the time of the last royal visit in 2002, that perception had completely changed.
