It's been revealed that Waka Kotahi knew of eight passenger trains running red lights last year, but only Te Huia was sanctioned.
In July Waka Kotahi said the particular circumstances of Te Huia's breaches meant the risk posed was different.
Waikato Regional Council's Angela Strange is questioning that.
Waka Kotahi was invited on the show this morning but declined to comment further. Strange spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
