Māori forest owners meet government over ETS

Māori forest owners fighting to keep exotic trees in the Emissions Trading Scheme are cautiously optimistic the Government is backing down.

Two months ago, iwi were threatening legal action and a Waitangi Tribunal claim over the proposal. 

But now after a series of meetings, it appears a compromise may be reached.
