Covid-19: NZ could spend most of 2022 at traffic light red level - Hendy

Hitting the 90 percent Covid-19 vaccination target could still mean the country spends most of next year in the 'Red' traffic light setting for pandemic controls.

But Covid-19 modeller Shaun Hendy also says vaccinating children could dramatically reduce that.

Being in red means shops and public facilities are open but with restrictions on numbers, and requirements such as mask wearing.

There will be much tougher rules for those who aren't vaccinated.
