Budget 2021: Salvation Army on benefits boost

The Salvation Army says the government's boost to benefits doesn't go far enough to lift families out of poverty.

Benefits will increase by $20 a week in July, with a further increase next April. Once fully implemented, beneficiaries will have between $32 and $55 more in their pocket.

Social issues reporter Sarah Robson asked Nicki Dutton from the Salvation Army in Porirua whether that's adequate.
