Tuesday's announcement Auckland will go back to Alert Level 3 saw a rush on the city's supermarkets. Kiri Hannifin from Countdown Supermarkets says the rush led the retailer to close all of its stores early.

Michael Barnett, the director of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, says that while a three-day lockdown was bearable for many businesses - the city's economy is in a fragile state.
