Hamilton Mayor says she's receiving record levels of abuse

From Morning Report, 8:11 am on 25 June 2020

Mayor of Hamilton Paula Southgate says she's received more abuse in recent days than in 20 years of politics.

Vitriolic emails have even referred to lynching - all because of the removal of the statue of Captain Hamilton from the city's Civic Square.

The statue was removed the day before a Black Lives Matter march earlier this month after a member of the public threatened to forcibly remove it.

Southgate speaks to Corin Dann.
