Govt details $54 million plan to prevent homelessness

Keeping people in their rentals is the new focus to stop people from becoming homeless.

Yesterday the government announced an $54 million to help prevent homelessness, of which $31 million will be spent on 67 intensive case managers and navigators to work with high-needs people, and a further $16 million will be used for extra social services.

Social development minister Carmel Sepuloni spoke to Corin Dann.
