Shortage of priests, quake costs force Church closures

An aging priesthood and increasing earthquake resilience costs have prompted Wellington's Catholic Archdiocese to begin to reduce its number of churches. Already the number of parishes in Wellington has more than halved, and that has left some with more church buildings than they need. Now, Cardinal John Dew is asking parishes to come up with ways to get rid of buildings. Ann Marie May takes a closer look.
