Paradise papers reveal Apple's secret tax bolthole

The Paradise papers have this morning revealed the world's most profitable firm, Apple, has a secretive tax structure that enable it to avoid billions in taxes. They reveal how Apple sidestepped a 2013 crackdown on its controversial Irish tax practices by actively shopping around for a tax haven. Apple has said it remained the world's largest taxpayer, that it follows the law and its changes did not reduce its tax payments in any country. RNZ business editor Gyles Beckford joins us to discuss the new details.
