The government is set to help more Māori get into work.
This morning it launched Te Mahere Whai Mahi Māori - the Māori Employment Action Plan.
Similar schemes have helped more than 10,000 Māori into employment, education or training so far.
The Social Development and Employment minister Carmel Sepuloni spoke to Māni Dunlop.
