Michele Connell and her husband Roy are dairy farmers on the outskirts of Hamilton. Eighteen months ago they were watching a Country Calendar programme showing a beautiful Canterbury farm, with lots of coast and a river running through it.
Michele says they realised farmers have some amazing spots the public never get to see, so surely there was a way for them to share what they already have and make some money from it.
That's when the online business Off The Beaten Track was born. It links the holidaymaker and farmer.
