Grass to take weeks to grow again after Tasman drought

The big dry has been creeping across parts of the top of the South Island into the Tasman District.

A drought was declared in the region last month - with some saying its the worst they've seen in 50 years.

There could be some respite - with rain forecast from midweek - but it will take weeks for the grass to grow again.

Samantha Gee went to visit farmers in Tasman.
