Covid-19 in NZ - the latest developments on Thursday

Air New Zealand has closed flights in London and time is running out for New Zealanders to get home as the government now restricts public gatherings indoors to 100 in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Countdown supermarkets are rationing high demand grocery items, and a $600 million aviation bailout has been announced.

It comes as the director General of Health, Ashley Bloomfield confirmed new cases at a press conference, bringing New Zealand's confirmed Covid-19 cases to 28.
