NZ tourism industry feeling pain of Covid-19

Some tourism businesses in New Zealand say they are losing tens of thousands of dollars due to cancellations.

Others say they're also seeing far fewer tourists in typically busy hotspots, and are concerned about the long term ramifications for the industry if the virus continues to spread.

This comes as the Tourism Industry Association says if things don't get better the outbreak could result in a billion dollar hit for the tourism industry by the middle of the year.
