2:17 pm on 16 April 2015

24 students and ex students of Tupou College in Tonga accused of damaging a property as part of ongoing school brawls are due for sentencing in the Supreme Court today.

Radio Tonga reports all 24 pleaded guilty to the charges last week.

Three of the accused are in police custody, one is still a student at Tupou and the other 20 are ex-students.

In 2013 the students attacked and ransacked a home in Tofoa belonging to a teacher at Tonga High School.

It was alleged that the home also had students from a third school, Tonga College, living in it.
