Episode 6
The TUKUA team travelled to Te Wai Pounamu to investigate Unutai e! Unutai e!, a photo exhibition from Anne Noble documenting the waters, the people, and the stories from Ngāi Tahu’s High Court action against the Crown. The team wanted to see how the works stacked up on the gallery walls.

WoW - World of Wearable Art

Episode 5
TUKUA attends the preview night of WOW, the World of Wearable Art, at its 20th year in Wellington. The theme of this year's show is Rise, and they also have an inaugural prize for the best entry created by a Māori: Te Tohu toi Rākei.

Skinsuit

Episode 4
Content warning: This episode of TUKUA contains discussions of nudity and sexual practices and may not be suitable for everyone. / Skinsuit is an artistic expression of pole dance, striptease, and ritual. Eight local queer sex workers and others will perform running over two acts with each dancer performing in both, also featuring a Shibari suspension room. TUKUA goes along to explore the event.

TUKUA visits the Aotearoa Art Fair at the Auckland Viaduct, now in its twelfth year. TUKUA attended the opening night event and then travelled across town to the brand-new May Fair. Why are these two art fairs on at the very same time in Auckland City? TUKUA, as always, has an opinion about that.

TUKUA is an arts-and-cultural panel show that explores an intergenerational response through a Māori lens. The panel is 75-year-old arts activist and author, Ngāhuia Te Awekōtuku, Gen X sculptor Brett Graham, and 24-year-old standup comedian, Kura Turuwhenua. The focus is on Māori and Pasifika artists but no-one is safe from the TUKUA lens.
