1:10 pm on 18 February 2012

The State Emergency Service in New South Wales says the Royal Australian Air Force has made two more Hercules flights to people in isolated communities in the north-west of the state.

The ABC reports the air force is delivering up to 50 tonnes of supplies per day to people in isolated communities.

The goods include food, medication and mail.

Thousands of residents are likely to remain cut off in the region, where the Darling River is expected to reach a peak of almost 14 metres early next month.
