Police in New South Wales have laid two more murder charges against the man accused of lighting a fatal nursing home fire at Quakers Hill in north-west Sydney last year.

A nurse at the home, Roger Dean, 35, now faces with 10 charges of murder.

He is being held at Silverwater Jail to face court next month over the fire, which killed 11 people.

Police say they are still examining complex medical evidence regarding the 11th victim.

Three residents died in their beds during the fire on 18 November and the others died in hospital in the following weeks.

The ABC reports the accused is due to face court again next month.
