A United Nations agency says thousands of Palestinian refugees are fleeing a camp in the Syrian port of Latakia which is being shelled by government troops.
The United Nations Relief & Works Agency says more than 5000 of the10,000 refugees are on the move.
Some 30 people have reportedly died in Latakia in a three-day military attack.
The attack on Latakia began on Saturday, a day after mass anti-government protests in the city. Syrian warships joined the attack on Sunday, firing shells on the city.
The Syrian regime says it is tackling gangs.
