Dalai Lama in Britain again

9:18 am on 16 June 2012

The Dalai Lama is begining an eight-day tour of Britain. The BBC reports the trip is set to put further strain on London's ties with China.

Beijing froze all high-level exchanges after the Dalai Lama's last visit there a month ago and his talks with Prime Minister David Cameron.

The Nobel Peace laureate is scheduled to give a speech in Leeds, in the north of England, where China's Olympic team will be based.
