The young New Zealand golfer Danny Lee made his first hole in one on the PGA Tour but it was a rare highlight as he dropped 30 places to finish in a share of 66th place in his second tournament on the PGA Tour.

The New Zealand number one, who had opened with three rounds of 69, had an up and down final round of two over par 74 at the Humana Challenge in California.

He began from the 10th tee and made bogeys on 13 and 15 before birdieing the 16th and then the highlight of his round an ace at the par 3 17th.

From there he lost his way throughout the rest of his round making four bogeys and a birdie on his back nine to slip back to a share of 66th place on a seven under total, 17 shots back from the champion American Mark Wilson.
