Pakistan has thrashed Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the first one day cricket match in Dubai.
Leg-spinner Shahid Afridi capped an excellent return to international cricket with three wickets for 27 in the day-night match, his first since returning from a six-month exile.
Afridi's back from international retirement and he showed good form to help Pakistan dismiss Sri Lanka for a feeble 131 in the 41st over, before Younis Khan and Imran Farhat hit fifties to anchor the chase at Dubai stadium.
The second match will also be played in Dubai on Tuesday with one more ODI scheduled for Dubai along with other games in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
The teams will finish their series with a Twenty20 in Abu Dhabi on November 26th.
