Ian Bell scored an immaculate 159 to put the England cricketers in command against India after three days of the second test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
England ended the day on 441 for six, an overall lead of 374.
The focal point of the day was at the end of the second session when Bell was adjudged runout after he walked off for the tea break thinking he'd scored a boundary as the outfielder gave the impression it was a four.
But the ball never reached the rope, it was casually returned and the bails were taken off by the keeper.
During the interval the Indian players agreed to allow Bell to return.
