Ferns thump Wales at World Champs

The Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken mixed up her combinations again, but it didn't help Wales at all as the New Zealanders won their second match at the World Netball Championships in Singapore 91-21.

Anna Thompson shot a hundred percent from goal attack as the Ferns jumped out to a 28-2 lead after the first quarter and they'd hit the half century by half tme.

Joeline Henry impressed in the three quarters she played at wing defence.

Aitken says it was a good start by her side after completing 400 passes in the first half.

Trinidad and Tobago beat Fiji 58-40 in the other pool match while Australia beat Northern Ireland 75-33.

New Zealand play Trinidad and Tobago in their final pool match tonight.
