The Spanish motorcyclist Dani Pedrosa will return from injury to race at the Italian Grand Prix this weekend.
The Honda rider broke his collarbone in a fall at the French Grand Prix at Le Mans last month and needed further surgery after a fragment of bone came loose.
Pedrosa, last season's runner up, has missed his home race in Barcelona, the British Grand Prix and last week's Dutch Grand Prix.
He has dropped to sixth in the championship standings on 61 points after seven races.
Team mate Casey Stoner leads the standings on 136 points, 28 ahead of champion Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha.
