Hawke's Bay remain top of the National Basketball League despite being unable to back up Friday's win over Wellington.
The Hawks lost to the Giants 73-59 in Nelson, while in Invercargill the Southland Sharks held off Taranaki despite losing their import Kevin Braswell early in the contest.
The Giants climb to fifth place, bumping the Sharks to sixth, despite their 97-95 win over the Mountain Airs without import Braswell, who got injured in the first 47 seconds of the contest.
