Manchester United's French defender Patrice Evra has lost his appeal against a five-match international football ban.
Evra was suspended for his part in a player revolt during the 2010 World Cup over a row between striker Nicolas Anelka and then coach Raymond Domenech.
Evra captained France as they endured a disastrous campaign in South Africa.
Anelka's team-mates refused to train after the row with Domenech, which led to the team finishing bottom of their group with just one goal and one point in three matches.
