For the first time the New Zealand cricketers will be able to legitimately question an umpire's decision when the first test gets underway against the West Indies in Dunedin tomorrow.
The umpire decision review system which is being trialled, allows a team up to three unsuccessful appeals per innings to the television umpire - similar to tennis players being able to question line calls.
The Black Caps skipper Dan Vettori says they'll have a team meeting to discuss the use of the system but feels it's a positive move although he will have to caution some bowlers not to get carried away and try and appeal every decision.
