The New Zealand pace bowler Chris Martin doesn't think there'll be any psychological advantage for the Black Caps in the second test at Adelaide after the latest incident involving the Australian all rounder Andrew Symonds in Brisbane.
Symonds was yesterday cleared of any wrongdoing in the bar incident, and although he may have embarrassed his team-mates he doesn't look as if he'll be vulnerable to sledging about it.
But Martin says they might try him out at some stage during the match.
He says he quite enjoys sledging, as long as it stays on the pitch.
Martin says the sort of public scrutiny Symonds is under is similar to what can happen to All Blacks, whose minor indescretions can result in major publicity.
Cricket Australia says Symonds did nothing wrong when his rejection of a request for a photograph staerted a fight at a Brisbane pub following the first Test win on Sunday.
But CEO James Sutherland is disappointed Symonds put himself in a compromising position so soon after admitting alcohol contributed to his exclusion from tour to India.
