Michael Phelps win his fifth gold in Beijing

The Olympic gold medals keep on coming for American swimmer Michael Phelps.

Phelps has won two more gold medals at the Water Cube today taking his tally at Beijing to five and his career Olympic tally to eleven.

Phelps opened his account today by winning the 200 metres butterfly in world record time. New Zealand's Moss Burmester finished fourth equal in that event.

Then Phelps grabbed his fifth gold medal in Beijing when he led off the American 4x200 metres freestyle relay team.

The Americans won in world record time, going under 7 minutes for the first time, recording a time of 6 minutes 58.56 seconds.

Russia won the silver medal and Australia the bronze.
